Sonder is a project-management and content platform operated by Sonderoom (“Sonder,” “we,” “us”). This policy explains what data we collect, why, and how you can remove it. Questions: jason@sonderoom.com.
Information we collect
- Account data — your name, email, and organization, used to sign you in and manage your workspace.
- Content you create — projects, tasks, messages, and social posts you schedule.
- Instagram data (only if you connect an account) — your Instagram username, profile picture, follower and following counts, reach and follower insights, and your recent media (thumbnails, captions, likes, comments, timestamps). We request the
instagram_business_basic,instagram_business_manage_insights, andinstagram_business_content_publishpermissions to power your analytics dashboard and to publish posts you schedule.
How we use it
Instagram data is used solely to (1) display your account trends and top-performing posts inside your Sonder workspace, and (2) publish content you explicitly schedule or approve. We never post without your action, and we do not use your data for advertising or sell it to anyone.
How it’s stored
Data is stored in our Supabase (PostgreSQL) database with row-level security. Instagram access tokens are stored server-side and used only to make requests to Meta’s APIs on your behalf. Cached insights are refreshed periodically and expire automatically.
Sharing
We share data only with the infrastructure providers that run Sonder (Supabase for storage, Vercel for hosting, Meta for the Instagram integration you authorized). We do not sell personal data.
Deleting your data
You can disconnect Instagram at any time from your project’s Schedule → Trends panel, which immediately removes the stored connection and access token. You may also remove Sonder from Instagram → Apps and websites, which triggers automatic deletion of your Instagram data on our side. For a full account deletion, email jason@sonderoom.com or see our Data Deletion page.
Changes
We’ll update this page if our practices change and revise the “last updated” date above.
